Hardwood Decking Sydney: Supplied From West Gosford

Hardwood decking for Sydney projects

Sydney Timber Supply supplies hardwood decking to Sydney builders, landscapers and homeowners from our base at 12 Dyer Crescent, West Gosford NSW. The range runs from supplier-documented Class 1 Australian hardwoods through to Class 2 Merbau and Peninsula Blonde, all sold per linear metre with the rate shown on every product page, so you can price your deck yourself and add your metres to the cart.

The range

  • Ironbark: QLD Class 1 Hardwood, one of the densest decking species on the market. 86 x 19, 135 x 19 and 135 x 35 mm with a 140 x 35 option.
  • Spotted Gum: QLD Class 1 Hardwood with the classic gum-vein figure, and one of the most widely available Australian-grown decking species. Same profile range as Ironbark.
  • Blackbutt: supplier-documented Class 1 above ground, straight grained, creamy blonde to honey tones. 86 x 19, 135 x 21 and 140 x 35 mm.
  • Redgum (Forest Red Gum): supplier-documented Class 1 above ground with cherry to burgundy tones. 86 x 19, 135 x 19 and 135 x 35 mm with a 140 x 35 option.
  • Gympie Messmate: a Queensland hardwood in the QLD Blondes group. 86 x 19, 135 x 19 and 135 x 35 mm with a 140 x 35 option.
  • Jambu and Jambu Mixed: supplier-documented Class 2 above ground, 90 x 19 mm.
  • Merbau: imported, supplier-listed Class 2, the most widely stocked decking hardwood in Sydney retail. 90 x 19, 140 x 19, 90 x 42 and 140 x 45 mm.
  • Peninsula Blonde: imported from Indonesia, supplier-documented Class 2 above ground, our affordable wide board at 140 x 19 mm. Feature Grade, with natural colour and tone variation.

Not sure which species suits your site and budget? The hardwood comparison table puts the supplier-documented numbers side by side, and the durability classes guide explains what Class 1 and Class 2 actually mean.

How buying works

Hardwood decking is priced per linear metre and supplied in random lengths. The linear metre rate is shown on each product page, so most orders can go straight through the cart:

  • Measure your deck area and convert it to linear metres with the timber calculator. The calculator guide shows the working if you want to check it by hand.
  • Add your linear metres to the cart and check out, or request a quote if you need pack quantities, preferred lengths or trade volumes. Preferred lengths are confirmed against current supplier availability.
  • Builders and repeat buyers can apply for a trade account, and larger jobs are handled through bulk and pallet orders.

Delivery to Sydney

We deliver to Sydney from West Gosford. Delivery is quoted per order based on load size, board length and site access, because long boards need the right vehicle and difficult access changes how an order is delivered. Include your postcode and quantities in your quote request for delivered pricing, or see delivery and pickup for how quoting works. Pickup from West Gosford is also available if you would rather collect.

Why buy from a supply-backed supplier?

Decking orders are rarely simple: mixed lengths, a specific profile, a delivery window, a site with tricky access. Standard quantities are priced online so you can order without waiting, and anything unusual goes through a quote, where a person checks your quantities and lengths against current supplier availability before you commit. It also means honest numbers: we publish supplier-documented specifications, and where a value is not published we say so rather than fill the gap.
