Timber supply for the Central Coast
Decks on the Central Coast work hard. Salt air, coastal humidity and full summer sun all test a decking timber, which is why species choice and correct installation matter more here than in gentler climates. Sydney Timber Supply is based on the Coast, at 12 Dyer Crescent, West Gosford, and supplies hardwood decking and structural pine across the region with quote-based pricing on every product.
Timber suited to coastal projects
Our Australian hardwood decking range is led by species with supplier-documented Class 1 above-ground natural durability: Ironbark and Spotted Gum, both displayed as QLD Class 1 Hardwood, alongside Blackbutt and Redgum. For buyers weighing durability against budget, Merbau and Jambu offer supplier-documented Class 2 alternatives. What those classifications mean, and what they do not promise, is covered in our durability classes guide.
Worth knowing for coastal work: our supplier's installation guidance recommends stainless steel fixings for coastal or poolside decks, and every species, Class 1 included, needs a maintained finish. Salt and sun do not excuse a deck from oiling.
On the structural side we carry MGP10 treated pine framing for above-ground outdoor structural work and untreated MGP10 for dry internal framing, both sold per board in set lengths.
A local base, not a distant warehouse
Orders are picked up from West Gosford or delivered across the Central Coast, with delivery quoted per order based on load size, board length and site access. Being local means shorter runs for Coast deliveries and a straightforward pickup option for trades between jobs. The delivery and pickup page explains how quoting works; our West Gosford page covers the pickup side in more detail.
For Central Coast trades
Carpenters, deck builders and landscapers across the region can set up a trade account for regular buying, and site-scale quantities go through bulk and pallet orders. Quoting is per project, so mixed loads of decking and framing for the same job are priced together against current supplier availability.
Guides before you buy
